The Vision of the LUKMEF Africa Civil Society Development Centre is that of a stable and sustainable sub-Saharan African civil society with the institutional/operational capacity to influence public policy and accountability that generate local, national and regional growth in diverse domains including but not limited to the achievement of the SDGs.
The goal of the LUKMEF Africa Civil Society Development Centre is to strengthen the institutional/operational capacity of CSOs to influence public policy and accountability that generate local, national and regional growth in diverse domains including but not limited to the achievement of local priorities and the SDGs in sub-Saharan Africa
The 1st objective of the LUKMEF Africa Civil Society Development Centre project is to establish an operational and self-sustaining infrastructure for information and knowledge generation to strengthen CSOs institutional/operational capacity to effectively contribute to local governance and development in Sub-Saharan Africa by 2022.
The 2nd objective of the LUKMEF Africa Civil Society Development Centre project is to develop and deliver content and tools on an ongoing basis that respond to the institutional/operational capacity needs of 2000 civil society and grassroots organizations in Cameroon grouped into thematic and national networks by 2025 with the possibility to expand to other Sub-Saharan African countries by 2030
The 3rd objective of the LUKMEF Africa Civil Society Development Centre project is to conduct ongoing research, data collection/analysis, documentation and publications that provide instant reference materials to inform evidence-based advocacy and development policy formulation at local, national in Cameroon by 2025 and regional levels by 2030
The 4th objective of the LUKMEF Africa Civil Society Development Centre project is to promote north-south and south-south networking and collaboration between CSOs for best practice sharing and an amplified voice for local, national and regional development (social, economic, political, human rights and environment protection ) that benefit all human equally by 2030
The 5th objective of the LUKMEF Africa Civil Society Development Centre project is to provide a platform for ambitious graduates and youths to develop and test new technologies that respond to the development needs of local governments, Small and medium size companies, education as well as linking rural communities to urban and international markets/opportunities that benefit small farmers
